Aim of study (acc. to author)

The population-based case-control study on the use of cellular or cordless telephones and the risk for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was conducted in Sweden.

Further details

Subjects who started their use of a mobile or cordless phone within one year prior diagnosis were classified as unexposed.

Results (acc. to author)

No increased risk for B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma associated with the use of cellular or cordless telephones was found. The results indicated an association for T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and the use of cellular or cordless phones.

Limitations (acc. to author)

The results for T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma were based on low numbers and should be interpreted with caution.
